The government should spend as much money as possible to find POW’s who have not been found. This is because we should respect those who have sacrificed their lives and their families who have los so much. They have made the ultimate sacrifice and the least that can be done for them is that their families can have a ceremony to honor them. This is so we can use the best technology in order to find the fallen soldiers. While individuals are at war family members spend day and night worrying about their loved one and for the government to say “ they died for their country” and that is the only thing they can get from themis unacceptable. That person volunteered to serve their country and give up their life and all they can give back to their family is the words of a random stranger. The Military is leaving the missing behind states “Time is running out. There are 35,000 missing who experts say are findable from WWII. But the MIA’s closest relatives are dying off — and often with them so are the chances for using DNA to finally identify their long-lost loved ones”. This quote shows that they should spend as much resources to try and find those individuals because they are running out of time. So before their closest relatives die they can have peace of mind knowing that their loved one was laid to rest. There are many old documents that have been found that can help investigators find those who have been missing in action. With all these resources of new technology and records from the past it will be a lot easier in order to find the  remains of those who died for their country. Progressively America has been able to bring back more and more Americans from the battlefields. So now, with every type of new technology that America has they should spend it on trying to bring back our troops. The forensics of today can find murders within months and those same technologies can be applied to find the remains of the fallens soldiers quickly. The article states: “I think it’s worth pursuing these cases, there are some pretty strong correlations for a couple of causalities, and others are reasonable,” Emanovsky wrote in a previously undisclosed email to Holland and the lab manager, John Byrd.
Regardless of the likely poor condition of the bones, “I think that all hope is not lost,” Emanovsky note said. Since the bones of the soldiers might have been commingled, he advised exhuming them all and comparing them with DNA from family members. “We could potentially identify several of these individuals,”. In the case of the lost soldier all hope is not lost they think no matter how poor the conditions of the bones that warriors can be found with the technology of today. J-Pac had finally justified the findings of the people working on the project. So due to the increase in technology and the new historical findings we should spend all resources possible to bring our heroes home.

Connecting the World

The new advances in technology have blurred the difference between virtual and reality. In today's age we can be brought to virtual realities that seem as real as life with their advanced graphics and cutting-edge surround sound systems which help immerse ones-self into the experience of virtual reality. It has definitely changed the way we have interact with each other and expands the forum which one can interact with another individual. With all these changes in interaction this raises the question if technology facilitates interaction?

Technology has expanded the amount of people whom one can interact with. Websites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and other social media sites. Through social media one gets to see a lot of different perspectives and opinions and ideas which is facilitated by these sites. However, with so many pieces of media out there other users can misinterpret the other things that are posted. This creates a place of interaction where people tend to talk bad about people and threaten others. On these different social media platforms one can communicate with the outside world using an array of media methods.

These media methods allow users to express themselves with pictures, words and videos. For example, Instagram uses pictures and descriptions to express oneself and interact with the world. When one posts a picture on Instagram they can test the saying of "a picture is worth a thousand words". People with other accounts comment how the picture makes them feel and interact with others reactions to this picture. On YouTube people can use the power of videos to show their ideas to the world. Users can like and dislike different videos , for the videos that they like the most they can create playlists so they can find those videos again easily. The most sophisticated social media is Twitter and Facebook. Twitter and Facebook allow users to post pictures, videos and status updates sharing with the world your experiences using all forms of media possible. One has many options when using these sites and can express themselves fully.

An addition to being able to express oneself through their profile they can also express their opinions on a matter through commenting on others posts. This allows profile users to use words, pictures and videos to show other users how they feel about their ideas. Comments are the thing that is the interaction of social media. Fore example, Kim Kardashian had a post with 400,000 comments. This one post allowed 400,000 different things to be said about it and allowed hundreds of thousand of different people to be able to interact and share their ideas on the given picture, So in fact social media does facilitate interaction.

Technology also facilitates interaction in other ways. The other way is through instant messages, text, e-mails and video calls. For example, United States Military troops have boots set up in war zones to talk with their families through e-mail or video calls. Technology has brought families together mor than the previous use of letters being sent and received every month. Now families can talk to each other every day and keep each other updated on their lives. These forms of media also allow people to meet many new people with chat rooms which allow users to talk to users worldwide. This advances in technology has created rooms where one can meet others from other countries and make connections with them. They can join chat rooms where they find individuals with the same interests as well as finding people with new passions they hope to peruse.

The mass use of technology in everyday life has created a real world where we haven't been able to connect with each other, On the internet one can put a mask of who they are and show more of who they want to be. This causes a difference in who users are in the real world compared to their profiles. When one wants to meet someone in real life who they met online they are disappointed because they don't meet the embellished version of the person but who they really are.

Technology does facilitate interaction. However, the quality of interaction isn't that good because of the mass quantities of people one can meet and the embellishment of one's profile compared to their real life. Also there anonymity is kept on these sites and they can choose what one wants to share and what one wants to hide. So online they are the best versions of themselves and are the version of themselves who they want to be not who they really are. Technology connects people and allows them to share their ideas with the world. Ultimately, technology facilitates interaction but the quality of the interactions is not as good an this causes a struggle for people to interact with people who they meet online in real life.
